Have you ever wanted an epic romance? I admit that I do. I am a dreamer when it comes to love and want to be swept off my feet and be loved by someone who treasures me.
This morning it was beautiful to read this psalm and to see the words that these two people in love share. Unlike many love songs, this is one shares between two people, not just one person speaking love to the other. It is a good reminder that a beautiful love goes two ways. Look at some of the lines:
2 You are the most handsome of all.
Gracious words stream from your lips.
God himself has blessed you forever.
7 You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore God, your God, has anointed you,
pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.
11 For your royal husband delights in your beauty;
honor him, for he is your lord.
17 I will bring honor to your name in every generation.
Therefore, the nations will praise you forever and ever.
Do these words inspire you? Maybe you have a love of your own or maybe you are still searching. But know that God has planned for you a beautiful love that will be a partnership and have the potential of an epic love story if you treasure, protect and nurture that love.
